In 2018 for the first time ever the German National Team played in the hockey final at the Olympics. Christian Ehrhoff was the head of Team D as a long-time NHL professional (around 800 NHL career games from 2003–2016). In his 4th Olympics he achieved the greatest triumph in winning the silver medal.

Ehrhoff wants to use this sports-tech innovation to raise money for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Herman van Veen Stiftung, helping disabled and disadvantaged children.

Playing in the 2018 Olympic final was one of the main highlights of Christian Ehrhoff’s career, even though he faced a heartbreaking 3:4 overtime loss to Russia. Currently an Eurosport expert for the Beijing hockey tournament, Ehrhoff is excited about his first-ever NFT:

During his 13-year NHL career Ehrhoff played for 6 different teams: San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, LA Kings and Chicago Blackhawks. So it’s only fitting, that his NFT drop takes place before the start of Sunday’s USA-Germany matchup at the Olympics.
